Slow Days at Katosi, on Lake Victoria

Katosi sits on the northern shore of Lake Victoria in Mukono District, an easy drive east of Kampala. It is a place that invites you to slow down, to wake with the light on the water and let the day unfold at the pace of the lake.

Morning

Start with coffee on the lawn, a walk beneath the mature trees, or a quiet hour in the hammock before the day warms up.

Afternoon

Long lunches, a book in the shade, or time with the makers and craft that shape the Rehova collection.

Evening

As the sun goes down, the lake turns gold and the fishing boats head out. It is the best seat in the house, and the reason we fell in love with Katosi.
